Carla & Linnah:

Thoughts of Mr. McElhaney will always make us smile.  Such kindness.  I remember his commitment to our youth group from church as a kid.  How many times he took us to the top of the hill to sled ride down and there was always a warm fire to keep us from freezing...along with a hug from Mr. McElhaney.  Thank you for sharing him with us.

John (Trouble as he was known to us @ Yaggi Cheese House) was one of the most cheerful person you would ever meet. Always had a smile. Always friendly. Always proud of his family. Always buying cheese for everyone's birthday. He will be missed more than his family knows. RIP Trouble.

Martha, I was deeply saddened to hear of Johnny's passing. I have so many memories of him. What a great man he was! He was always so kind to everyone, and everyone loved him. I don't think I ever saw him without a smile on his face. You are in my thoughts and prayers. To Linnah and Carla, your Dad was one of a kind!!  Just talking to him would bring a smile to your face! I know the pain of losing a wonderful Dad. My heart aches for you both. How blessed you both were to have had such a wonderful man as your Dad, and I know your life will never be the same without him. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.  Hugs and love to you all from the Taylor family - Vicki, Debbie, and Evie.

My deepest sympathies to Martha, Linnah, Carla, and Family.  I have wonderful childhood memories of you all and I will never forget the times our family spent together.  I loved learning how to bail hay, feeding the cows, but couldn't retrieve the chicken's eggs!  I loved John's sense of humor and I'm sure he got a little of that, from Ada.
I know I will still look for him at Freeport UMC, because I always did, as soon as I walked through the door.  I couldn't wait for him to tease me, and my children looked forward to it too.
Love and Prayers to all,
Patsy, Dean, Megan, & Nathan Brown

I can't even put into words what he meant to me. Every time I came home on leave, I would come up to visit and tell him of my adventures of whatever country I was living in and my military adventures and have many cups of coffee and share memories of growing up. He was such a great man and I will never forget the "dam man" and all the many laughs and cups of coffee's we shared.
