Robert Stewart Obituary

Robert Joseph Stewart, age 83, of Cadiz, formerly of Holloway, died at 2:44 p.m. Tuesday, November 27, 2018 in Carriage Inn of Cadiz.

Born January 2, 1935 in Deton, Kentucky, he was a son of the late Carl M. Stewart and Margaret Young Stewart.

He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and he drove truck for various coal mines before a disability forced him to retire. He was a member of the Flushing Legion Post #366.

He is survived seven children: Margaret (Darrell) Mills of Cadiz, Patricia (Mark) Riley of Fort Smith, Arkansas, Ronald (Kathryn) Stewart of Uniontown, Michael (Jolene) Stewart of Piedmont, John Stewart of Flushing, Robert Stewart of Powhattan, and Carl Stewart of Powhattan; three sisters: Ruby of Idaho, Sue Taylor of Bellaire, and Ann VanDyne of St. Clairsville; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two sons and several siblings.

Following Bob’s wishes he will be cremated and there will be no services. Koch Funeral Home, 216 South High Street, Freeport, handled the arrangements.
