Aris S (Swisher) Cogar

Aris S. Cogar, age 82, of Freeport, Ohio passed away December 1st, 2022. She was born in Morgansville, West Virginia on April 29th, 1940, to the late Melburn and Dessel (Davis) Swisher.

Aris worked many jobs during her lifetime but was most affectionally known as a loving mother and grandmother. Throughout her life she enjoyed many hobbies and made many friends along the way. Later in life she fancied traveling with her late husband, Larry, and their dog Nina.

Aris is survived by her two sons: Kevin (Josephine) Cogar and Eric (Kim) Cogar; five grandchildren: Seka Cogar, Zackery Cogar, Derick Cogar, Cody (Victoria) Cogar, Tia (Christopher) Cogar; one great-grandchild: Isabella Irwin; one sister: Lyndell (Mansfield) Leeson. She was preceded in death by her late husband, Larry W. Cogar, her two babies, three brothers and one sister.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, December 9, 2022, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in Koch Funeral Home, 216 S High Street, Freeport. A memorial service officiated by Kevin Anslow will begin at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow in Greenmont Union Cemetery, Freeport.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
