Barbara Lucille (Jeffers) Tidrick

Barbara Lucille Jeffers Tidrick, age 77 of Massillon formerly of Westchester and Rock Hill died at 12:05 a.m. Friday, July 21, 2023 in Glendora Health Care Center, Wooster, Ohio.

She was born January 1, 1946 in Belmont County, Ohio; a daughter of the late Clarence Willard "Buss" Jeffers and Vera Todd "Tootie" Jeffers.

She attended school in Holloway, Flushing, and Morristown. On May 8, 1965 she married Ernest L. Tidrick, who died June 3, 2021.

After she married Ernest, they moved to Cleveland. In 1974 they moved back to Rock Hill, then lived seventeen years in Dalton, before moving to Westchester in 2007 where they loved their country home. Due to declining health, after Ernest died, Barbara moved to Massillon to live with her daughter.

Barbara loved spending the weekends with family, fishing, and cookouts. She loved to paint crafts made by her husband, loved to decorate, rearrange furniture, and loved flower gardening. She could not pass up a yard sale and loved to visit flea markets, especially the food truck with the kraut dogs; going on bus trips to go gambling, and eating out at restaurants.

She was employed by Flushing Nursing Home and also worked several years as a nurse's aide where she was passionate about her job taking care of people and loved getting and giving hugs!

Surviving are a daughter, Marita Jane (Jeff) Greenwood of Massillon, a son Kevin (Amy) Tidrick, four grandchildren: Kevin (Melody) Tidrick, Jr., Kyle Tidrick, Ashley "Pickle" (Shaun) Griffith, and Mikey Greenwood; and five great-grandchildren: Alexander, Evelyn, Joey, Brooklyn, Andrew and one on the way.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by an infant son, Ernest L. Tidrick, Jr. and a brother, Donnie Jeffers.

On Tuesday, July 25, 2023, visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. and a funeral service will begin at 3:00 p.m. officiated by Pastor David Koch in Koch Funeral Home, 216 S High Street, Freeport. Cremation will take place and burial will follow at a later date in Rock Hill Cemetery, Flushing Township, Belmont County, Ohio.
