In Loving Memory of Charlotte Furmanski, age 80 of Freeport, Ohio peacefully passed away July 31, 2014 in Dennison. Born March 15, 1934 in Manhattan, New York, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Ada Casler of New York.

Charlotte graduated from Boundbrook High School. She then pursued a career as an accountant at Knickerbacher Toy Company in South Plainfield, New Jersey and as a switchboard operator at Bamberger's Department Stores in Plainfield, New Jersey. Charlotte lived in many different places including New York and New Jersey before settling in Ohio to raise her children.

Charlotte was a devout Christian and an active member of Oak Grove Calvary Church and Freeport United Methodist Church until her decline in health. Her many interests included reading, sewing, embroidery, culinary, and roller skating (of which she was a skilled dancer on skates). Charlotte enjoyed doing extensive home remodeling and she was a master seamstress.

Charlotte was known for her kindness, generosity, charm, and graciousness. Charlotte was a friend to all and an enemy to none. Those who were blessed to know her recognized the lady she was.

Surviving are her husband, William (Bill) Furmanski, two sons: Bruce Hill and Billy Furmanski; five daughters: Susan Colosacco, Vicki Furmanski, Brenda Kirk, Charlotte (Penny) Villanueva, and Doreen Houghtailing. grandsons: Bruce, Justin, Kyle, Dustin, Michael, Christopher, Michael Brandon,  and Anthony; granddaughters: Gina, Dana, Tracy, Heather, Tara, Eugenia, and Jennifer; great grandchildren: Colton, Gavin, Reese, Melanie, Alli, Vera, Shaunezhia, Kyla, Clarice, Ashleigh, and Sadie; a brother: Melvin Casler; and four sisters: Marion Legrand, Donna Gregg, Loretta Garlewicz, and Patricia Allen.

Charlotte was preceded in death by three sons: Glenn Hill, Rick Furmanski, and David Furmanski; a grandson, Anthony Furmanski; and a sister Catherine (Sis) Casler.

A memorial service will be held at 5:00 p.m. Thursday, August 7, 2014 in the Freeport United Methodist Church with Pastor Dave Koch officiating. Visitation will be held in the church for two hours before the service from 3:00 - 5:00 p.m.
