Christine L (Dickinson) Batton

Christine L. Batton, age 72, of New Philadelphia passed away peacefully in her sleep as her health condition declined at Riverside Manor in Newcomerstown on Friday, August 1, 2025.

She was born November 15, 1952, in Louisville, Ohio; a daughter of the late Dwight Dickinson and Gladys Treacle Dickinson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Krik D. Dickinson.

Surviving is her husband of 31 years, Phillip Daniel Batton, of New Philadelphia since 2019, who was a former resident of the Freeport area.

Also surviving are her children: Mike Tucker and Dawn Marsh; grandchildren: Brett Knepper and Kaitlyn Tucker (James Dean), and a great-granddaughter, Oaklynn Dean.

Chris was an LPN for thirty-seven years. She was modest about it and was not one to mention it. Aside from nursing, she loved antique shops, craft shows, craft shops, road trips, and gardening. She had a green thumb for sure. She enjoyed crafting & painting things that she displayed inside & outside of her home.

Per her wishes, she did not want a visitation or service and was cremated.
