David Allen Moore

David Allen Moore, Sr. age 79, of Moorefield died at 9:20 p.m. Tuesday, May 29, 2018 at his home surrounded by his family.

He was born January 5, 1939 in Freeport; a son of the late Clark Campbell Moore and Lela Alice Dunlap Moore.

He graduated from Freeport High School in 1956.  David Allen retired after 43 years at Ford Motor Company in Lorain. He attended Moorefield Methodist Church with his mom, enjoyed golfing and attending basketball tournaments with his sons and nephews.

Surviving are seven children: Linda (Lynn) Taylor of Flushing, David A. (Rhonda) Moore, Jr. of Flushing,  Janice (Doug) Madzia of Flushing, Victoria Chase of Wakeman, Martin Rieth of Morrow, Sam Moore of Wakeman, Leanne (Chris) Garner of Collins; twelve grandchildren: Michelle, James, Nick, Melissa, Stephanie, Bret, Cody, Kayla, Rachel, Samantha, Emily, Summer; fifteen great-grandchildren; a sister, Beverly Luyster of Piedmont; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by Virginia Patton Moore.

Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, June 1, 2018 in Koch Funeral Home, 216 S High Street, Freeport, Ohio. Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 2, 2018 at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Moorefield Cemetery.
