Doris Mae (White) Stewart

Doris Mae Stewart, age 84, of 100 Reservoir Road, Apt. 11, St. Clairsville, Ohio died at 1:59 a.m. Friday, February 6, 2015 in Park Health Center, St. Clairsville, Belmont County, Ohio

Born in Belmont County near Flushing on February 1, 1931, she was a daughter of the late Otis E. White and Cora E. Howell White.

Doris was a 1948 graduate of Holloway High School. She is a Methodist by faith and enjoys crocheting and quilting.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Edwin S. Stewart. He died March 4, 2011. They were married March 28, 1953.

Surviving are numerous nieces and nephews and a special niece, Susan Hillyer of St. Clairsville, who was her caregiver for several years.

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by three sisters: Betty Conter, Naomi Hillyer, and Ruth Hathaway.

Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, February 9, 2015 in Koch Funeral Home, 216 S. High Street, Freeport with Pastor Robert Merritt officiating. Burial will follow in Greenmont Union Cemetery, Freeport. Visitation will be held in the funeral home one hour prior to the service (12 Noon to 1:00 p.m.) on Monday, February 9, 2015.
