Erma Louise Price Ferguson, age 81, of Byesville formerly of Freeport, went to be with her Lord at 5:23 a.m. Monday, May 16, 2016 in her home surrounded by family.
She was born April 12, 1935 in Gnadenhutten to the late Thomas William Price and Edna Opal Nelson Price. Also preceding her in death were a daughter, Patricia Ferguson and a son, Rodney Ferguson.
Erma was a homemaker and enjoyed crocheting and sewing. She was employed by the Halls Glove Factory in Uhrichsville and worked for seven years at the reservation desk at Salt Fork State Park Lodge.
She was a devout Christian and was a member of the Old Washington United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Delmar Leroy Ferguson whom she married June 28, 1950. Also surviving are three sons: Byron Lee (Bonnie) Ferguson of Cambridge, Darcy Alan (Kim) Ferguson of Ashville, and Rev. Gordon Jay (Ann) Ferguson of Orangeville, a daughter, Teresa Kay Ferguson of New Philadelphia; fourteen grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren; and two sisters: Esther Butler of Uhrichsville and Mary Ourant of Newark
Services will be held Thursday, May 19, 2016 in Koch Funeral Home, 216 S High Street, Freeport with The Reverend Kirk Gable officiating. Burial will follow in Greenmont Union Cemetery, Freeport. Visitation will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, May 18 in the funeral home.
