Frederick Alfred Herkner
He was born October 8, 1945 in Akron City Hospital, Akron; a son of the late Gustav Albert Herkner and Louise Marie Doepel Herkner.
He was a machinist for the steel industry.
Fred was an avid outdoorsman and family man.
Fred was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Rose; two brothers: Mike and Jerry; and a sister, Carrie.
He was a beloved father to Tracy, a cherished uncle to Mike and Boe.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Vansickle family: Amy, Kelly, Michael, Karen, and his best friend, Tommy Stickler. He appreciated and loved you all.
His cremation was entrusted to Koch Funeral Home in Freeport.
