George Ferris

George Ferris, age 77, of 25177 Cadiz Road, Freeport died Tuesday, May 5, 2020 in Aultman Hospital, Canton, Stark County, Ohio from complications after a heart procedure.

He was born February 22, 1943 in Shippenville, Pennsylvania. He was a son of the late Floyd Bernard Ferris and Edna May Brown Ferris.

George worked for Schwebel's Baking Company in Solon, Ohio for thirty years in sanitation on the bread line. After retirement, they moved to the Piedmont area for their love of fishing.

Surviving is his wife, Sheila Lee Conner Ferris, of soon to be 55 years on May 15. Also surviving are four sons: Terry (Darlene) Ferris of Maple Heights, George (Denise) Ferris of Ravenna Township, Michael Ferris of Kent, and Leon (Shelly) Ferris of Ravenna; nine grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a grandson.

There are no services planned at this time. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Koch Funeral Home, 216 S High Street, Freeport was entrusted with his arrangements.
