John "Jack" Popadak

John Louis "Jack" Popadak, age 67 of 23098 Cadiz Road, Freeport (Londonderry) formerly of Warren died peacefully in his home at 10:54 a.m. Tuesday, August 13, 2024 surrounded by his family.

He was born August 22, 1956, in St. Joseph Warren Hospital; a son of the late John M. Popadak and Lois J. Lewis Popadak.

Jack was a 1974 graduate of Champion High School.

Jack's best advice after retirement: "Don't be so busy making a career, you forget to make a life."

Jack accomplished so much throughout his multiple careers. Starting at Carl Hall Funeral Home to becoming a firefighter at Champion Fire Department. He started Action Emergency Ambulance with his beloved family and while working full time, he completed his Paramedic training in 1985. Jack and his family ran Action Emergency Ambulance for a successful 38 years. Jack was always helping people and became a Deputy Sheriff with the Mounted Unit and paramedic on the SWAT team with Trumbull County Sheriff's Office.

He was a member of the Freeport Presbyterian Church, and he was fond of his church family.

Surviving is his wife of five years, Lori Ann Harper Popadak. They were married and lived life to the fullest with many adventures on their motorcycles. They achieved everything on Jack's bucket list with a bond like no other!

With a blended family of four sons: John W. (Gina) Iser of Bridgeport, John Matthew (Saylor) Popadak of Zanesville, Gregory (Megan) Williams of Canal Winchester, and Nick (Sara) Zenns of Fallbrook, CA. Two Daughters: April M. (Tom) Reed of Warren, and Cara A. (Zak) Bobek of Salesville; a brother Michael (Kathy) Popadak of Bazetta; two sisters Susan Popadak of Vero Beach, FL, and Donna (Doug) Daugherty of Mt. Gilead; a brother-in-law, Robert "Bobby" Schrader; and twenty-three grandchildren: Morgan (Kenny), Abigail, Evan, Adriana, Natalie, Tristen, Austin, Cheyenne, Braxton, Jackson, Wyatt, Landon, Noah, Corbin, Dylan, Ian, Mekaela, Harley "Ryann", Nicholas, Lila Mae, Avery Jane, and Zoeyanne.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife of thirty years and mother of his children, Wanda P. Kale Popadak and a sister-in-law Pamela Jo Schrader.

Following Jack's wishes, he was cremated. A memorial service celebrating his life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 17, 2024 in the Freeport Presbyterian Church, 106 Pine Street, Freeport with Pastor David Bryan officiating.
