Robert Allen Bethel, Sr.

Robert Allen Bethel, Sr., age 76, of 464 Deersville Avenue, Uhrichsville died unexpectedly at 10:35 a.m. Saturday, July 11, 2015 at home.

He was born December 1, 1938 in Belmont County, a son of the late William J. Bethel and Goldie Nabb Bethel.

Bob attended Freeport High School and was a United States Army veteran.

He retired from Disney World in Florida after working thirty some years in the maintenance custodial department.

Surviving are a daughter, Diana (Charles) Baker of Freeport; a son, Robert Bethel, Jr. of Uhrichsville; a step-son, Joe Cope of Florida; former wife, Jean N. Baker and daughter, Melissa Mazzon of Uhrichsville; seven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and numerous brothers and sisters.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his second wife, Carolyn Price Bethel and a grandson.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, July 14 and Wednesday, July 15 in Koch Funeral Home, 216 S High Street, Freeport where services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 16 also in the funeral home with Pastor Dave Koch officiating. Burial will follow in Greenmont Union Cemetery, Freeport.
