Sharon Louise (Hamilton) Hamilton

Sharon Louise Hamilton, age 76, of 629 Johnson Avenue, Dennison died after a period of declining health at 2:15 a.m. Sunday, March 12, 2023 in her daughter's home where she had resided for the past four years.

She was born October 29, 1946 in Shepherdstown, Ohio; a daughter of the late Allen Clarke Hamilton and Edna Louise Laisure Hamilton.

Sharon was a 1964 graduate of Lakeland High School. She attended Belmont Technical School in St. Clairsville where she earned a certificate as a medical assistant. After getting certified, she worked for the Freeport Clinic for two years. She then took a job in the bindery at the Freeport Press for fifteen years. She also worked at Country Club Retirement Center for a few years before working as a private home health aide.

She was a great supporter of the Harrison County Humane Society, and was an avid supporter of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She loved to watch western and wrestling shows on television, and had a love for all things Native American.

Sharon is survived by three daughters and a son: Randy Householder of Piedmont, Sherry (Robert) Vanderpool of Carrollton, Susan (Ronald) Coventry of Dennison, and Samantha (Alan) Bailey of Winter Garden, Florida; seven grandchildren: Krystal, Ryan (fiancé Rachel), Kierstin (husband Tyler), Katelyn, Gunnar, Darrick (girlfriend Katlynn), and Dylan; eight great-grandchildren: Nevaeh, Kashis, Junior, Layla, Gabriella, Delany, Bristol, Reagan, and Karrie; a sister, Nancy Crawford of Parkersburg, WV; and a brother, James Hamilton of Sardis.

She was preceded in death by a companion of twenty plus years, Denver Adams III who died in 2021; two sisters: Margaret Hart and Barbara Fritter; and a daughter-in-law, Karrie Householder.

Per her wishes, Sharon did not want any visitation or services and cremation will take place.
