Thomas Ray Dunlap

Thomas Ray Dunlap, age 59 of 415 Ashton Street, Holloway died peacefully at 9:12 p.m. at home Friday, December 5, 2014 surrounded by loved ones.

He was born January 5, 1955 in Martins Ferry, Ohio; a son of the late Thomas Murry Dunlap, Jr. and Bertha Virginia Dunlap.

Tom graduated from Union Local High School in 1973.

He was employed by Cravat Coal Company for five years, worked in the oil fields for twelve years, then started driving truck and went to Roadmaster Driving School in Columbus where he was the training instructor. He was also a truck driver for National Freight Incorporated Logistics for seven years hauling from Colgate in Cambridge.

Tom loved to go fishing, golfing, and boating. He loved the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Surviving is his wife of forty years, Hazel May Willison Dunlap. They were married April 19, 1974.

Also surviving are two daughters: Bridget Ann (Brian) Watkins of Roseville and Tommi Rae Wheeler of Holloway; a granddaughter: Taylor Wheeler; two grandsons: Eric Watkins and Kyle Thomas Wheeler; two sisters: Beverly (Donald) Bargar of Holloway and Sharon Ford of Lorain; three sister-in-laws: Carol Sue Willison of Niles, Jane (Tim) Rickey of Westchester, and Roxane (Duane) Blackwell of Freeport; and a brother-in-law, Raymond (Tammie) Willison of Senecaville; and several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Dennis Murry Dunlap and a brother-in-law, Larry E. Ford.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 9, 2014 in Koch Funeral Home, Freeport where services will be conducted by Pastor Tom Gruver at 1:00 p.m. Cremation will follow the service. Graveside service and burial will be at a later date at the convenience of the family in Senecaville Cemetery.

The family requests memorial contributions be made to Koch Funeral Home, 216 S High Street, Freeport, Ohio 43973 to help with final expenses.
