Toni Louise Marie
Bertini
Feb 27, 1951 — Aug 5, 2026
Strasburg
Toni Louise Marie Bertini, age 75, of Strasburg died peacefully after a long hard-fought battle at 9:48 a.m. Wednesday, August 5, 2026 at Amberwood Nursing Home, New Philadelphia under the care of Crossroads Hospice.
She was born February 27, 1951 in Cambridge, Guernsey County, Ohio; a daughter of the late Rachel Bertini Anderson.
Toni loved animals leaving no critter behind, she also loved gardening, canning, horseback riding, and spending time with her family. She was an amazing artist. She painted horses and landscapes and made slate clocks. She also loved motorcycles and acquired her motorcycle technician degree.
She was a one-of-a-kind woman. If you knew her, you knew she wasn’t sugar and sunshine. She could be sweet one minute and put you in your place the next, and that’s exactly why everyone loved her. She was tough as nails, stubborn as they come, fiercely protective, and had a wild spirit that never settled down. She rode horses, loved motorcycles, wasn’t afraid of a fight, and lived every day exactly how she wanted. Beneath that tough exterior was a woman who loved her family with everything she had. She didn’t just exist, she truly lived. The stories she leaves behind will be told for generations and there will never be another woman quite like her.
Surviving is a son: John Karl (Carrie) Ferrell of 329 North Wooster, Strasburg, Ohio;
two granddaughters: Kayla (Tim) White of Strasburg and Samantha (Kyle) Melvin of Centerburg; five great-grandsons: Carson, Jackson, Ryker, Roman, and Waylon; two sisters: Ora Mord of Minnesota and Lauren Rae Anderson of Pennsylvania; and a sister-in-law, Beth Bertini of Freeport.
In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her soulmate of thirty plus years, Thomas Wright; a great-grandson, Aiden McGinnis; four brothers: Tom, Pete, Carlos, and an infant brother; and a sister, Mary.
Following Toni’s wishes she will be cremated. A Celebration of Life Gathering will be announced at a later date.
Koch Funeral Home, 216 S High Street, Freeport was entrusted with the arrangements. Friends and relatives may leave online messages on the funeral home’s website: www.kochfuneralhome.net
