Twila Jean (Snedeker) Bardall

Twila Jean Snedeker Bardall, age 82, of Strasburg, formerly of Freeport died at 9:20 p.m. Friday, June 27, 2025, surrounded by family.

She was born in Dover, Ohio on October 22, 1942, a daughter of the late John William Snedeker and Dorothy Lee Barrett Snedeker.

Jean was a 1961 graduate of Uhrichsville High School. She was a member of the Freeport Presbyterian Church and was a wonderful supporter of her grandchildren's activities.

Jean retired in 2001 from the Freeport Press Office, Inc. of Freeport after 27 years of service. She retired from the composing room.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Heywood Bardall. They were married November 18, 1962.

Surviving are a son: Jim "Pappy" (Peggy) Bardall of Freeport, a daughter: Dana (Mike) Kendziorski of Freeport, two sisters: Donna Brick of Strasburg, Linda (Terry) Scott of Uhrichsville; a brother: Paul (Linda) Snedeker of Tuson, Arizona; five grandchildren: Katelyn (Jeremy) Obermiller of Freeport, Jessica (Clay) Anderson of Cadiz, Jared (Gabbi) Kendziorski of Freeport, Jason (Leslie) Clay of Massillon, and Lisa (Mike) Walker of New Philadelphia; ten great-grandchildren: Chad Walker, Devon Walker, Colton Walker, Sophia Clay, Lincoln Clay, Paxton Anderson, Huxley Anderson, Hendrix Anderson, Karleigh Obermiller, and Greyson Obermiller; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Jean was preceded in death by an infant sister, Donella Raye Snedeker, a sister, Dorothy Gray, and two brothers: Larry Snedeker and Bob Snedeker.

Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 1, 2025, in the Freeport Presbyterian Church with Pastor Dave Bryan officiating. Burial will follow in Greenmont Union Cemetery, Freeport. Visitation will be held in Koch Funeral Home, 216 S. High Street, Freeport on Monday, June 30 from 6 to 9 p.m.
