Connie Jean Fritter, age 70, of 203 East Main Street, Holloway died at 7:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 21, 2020 in St. Cloud Regional Medical Center, St. Cloud, Florida from pneumonia, a complication of the COVID-19 virus.
She was born July 11, 1949 in Wheeling, West Virginia; a daughter of the late Eva Jean Bradley VanFossen and Thomas Wayne VanFossen.
Connie graduated in June of 1967 from Lakeland High School, Freeport, Ohio where she played the clarinet in the band. On August 5, 1967 she married her high school sweetheart, Ralph Lee Fritter. They were married in Piedmont United Methodist Church.
She worked at the Holloway Post Office and enjoyed cleaning houses. Her passion was her family and being an excellent housewife, homemaker, cook, and was wonderful at making crafts including scrapbooking and wreaths. She enjoyed spending time with her family
Surviving are her husband: Ralph Lee Fritter of Holloway: three children: Ralph Lee (Missy) Fritter II of Wheeling, West Virginia, Stephen (Maggie) Fritter of Holloway, Annette (Joseph) Aamodt of Mascoutah, Illinois; eight grandchildren: Thomas Fritter Doane, Katie Fritter, Jonathan Fritter, Lydia Fritter, Meaghan Aamodt, Joey Aamodt, Beaux Clark, and Scarlett Clark; and two great-granddaughters: Bentley Fritter and Marlowe Fritter; two sisters: Rena (Jerry) Taylor of Barnesville and Becky (Doug) Koscoe of Cambridge; and a brother Tom (Lee Ann) VanFossen of New Philadelphia.
A private farewell for the family will be held the morning of Saturday, April 25, 2020 in Koch Funeral Home, 216 S High Street, Freeport.
A graveside service and burial will be held at 2:00 p.m. in Rock Hill Cemetery near Flushing officiated by Pastor Jim McConnell. There will be a PA system in place if anyone wants to stay in their cars and listen.
An Open House Birthday Celebration of Life for Connie Fritter will be held at the Holloway Old Timers Social Hall from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 11, 2020, which would have been Connie's 71st birthday. Friends are invited to come, view pictures, share memories, and fellowship with the family.
