Jon Robert Parcell

Jon Robert Parcell, age 63, of 34925 Cadiz Piedmont Road, Cadiz formerly of Easton, Pennsylvania died 7:39 p.m. Tuesday, December 6, 2022 in Ohio Valley Hospice Unit of Trinity West Hospital, Steubenville, Ohio following a very quick decline following a cardiac arrest in 2019.

He was born August 9, 1959 in Dennison, Ohio; a son of the late James Robert Parcell  and Rosemary Miller Parcell.

Jon was a 1978 graduate of Lakeland High School and Harrison Career Center.

He retired from Giles-Ransome Caterpillar of Bensalem, Pennsylvania where he worked 25 years as a heavy equipment mechanic and prior to that he worked for Furnival Komatsu in eastern Pennsylvania. He was with the Operating Engineers Union for over thirty years.

He loved to ride his Harley Davidson Heritage and toured the eastern United States riding it.

Surviving are a son, Elijah Paul (Merissa) Parcell of Orefield, PA; two daughters: Lizzie (Joseph) Grau of East Greenville, PA and Sarah (Dennis) Duett of Souderton, PA; three grandchildren: Joseph Grau, Kadlin Grau, and Micah Duett; a brother, James (Angela) Parcell of Moorefield; an aunt, Virginia Gardner of Uhrichsville; a niece, Jessica (Kris Merkins) Currence; two nephews: Corey (Amanda Taggart) Currence and Justin Currence; a great nephew, John Hardway, two great nieces: Madeline Hardway and Amelia Merkins; and his best friend, Tony Silver.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a great niece, Paityn Merkins.

Visitation will be held in Koch Funeral Home, 216 S High Street, Freeport on Sunday, December 11, 2022 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Service will also be in the funeral home on Monday, December 12, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor David Koch officiating. Burial will follow in Greenmont Union Cemetery, Freeport.
