Linda Lou Moore Sudduth, age 81, of 14833 Zane Road, Lore City died at 3:29 a.m. Saturday, November 28, 2020 in Genesis Hospital, Zanesville.
She was born October 6, 1939 in Mt Olivet, Belmont County, a daughter of the late James Reginald Moore and Thelma Lucille McBurney Moore Douglass.
She was a high school graduate and devoted her life to making a home for her family. Linda was a collector of many things and was a fantastic bread maker, a keeper of the old ways.
She is survived by her husband, James Edward Sudduth, Sr. They were married October 10, 1958. The Reverend Paul Greenwood married them at the Methodist Parsonage in Morristown, Ohio.
Also surviving two sons and a daughter: James E. (Becky) Sudduth, Jr. of Antrim, Jack D. Sudduth of Lore City, and Joy A. Tilton of Cambridge; a sister, Nancy Dowless of North Carolina; a half-sister, Sue Moore of Barnesville; a half-brother, David (Pat) Douglass of Alabama; five grandchildren: Jessica Sudduth of North Carolina, Amos Sudduth of Alexandria, Virginia, Jacob Sudduth of Antrim, Richard Hatcher of Cambridge, and Michael Hatcher of Cambridge; and two great-grandchildren: Karrah Hatcher of Cambridge and Dakada Hatcher of Cambridge.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Jack Tilton; two brothers and a sister: George Moore, Johnny Douglass, and Patricia Griener.
Public visitation will be held from 12:00 Noon to 2:00 p.m. at Koch Funeral Home, 216 S High Street, Freeport on Wednesday, December 2, 2020. A private funeral service for the immediate family will be held, officiated by Pastor Robert Merritt. Burial will take place in Sunset View Cemetery, Londonderry, Ohio.
