Michael Alan "Mick" Bouska 65, of Bargersville, Indiana, formerly from Freeport, Ohio, went home to the loving arms of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ at 4:21 am Tuesday, January 8, 2019. Mick was born June 1, 1953 in Carlsbad, New Mexico. He is the son of the late Frank and Helen (Greenwalt) Bouska.
He graduated from Lakeland High School in 1971 and attended Kent State University, Ravenna to pursue his passion for music. He started playing the drums at nine years old and continued to play for the rest of his life. He played in many local bands including his favorite worship band at Emmanuel Church of Greenwood where he was a member for many years. Mick was the President of Keegan Sales for 30 plus years and retired to enjoy being a Papaw to his precious girls.
Mick married his high school sweetheart Colleen Kay (Moore) Bouska in 1976 who survives. Other survivors include a son Michael (Brianne) Bouska of Royal Oak, Michigan; a daughter Amy (Erick) Baase of Greenwood, Indiana; three granddaughters that meant the world to him: Lauren Baase, Alayna Baase & Elliana Bouska; a brother Frank (Bobbie) Bouska of Springfield, Ohio; a sister Cindy (Matt) Ritenour of Tuscarawas, Ohio and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews & cousins whom he loved so much.
He loved his Lord, family, and friends unconditionally. He was a very patriotic man that loved his country. Mick was a fanatic fan of the Indianapolis Colts and loved The Beatles. On top of being an excellent drummer he was a living music encyclopedia. He was a youth sports coach for many years and was a faithful servant of God and led numerous people to the Lord.
A private service will be held at Koch Funeral Home 216 S High Street, Freeport Ohio and burial will follow in Greenmont Union Cemetery in Freeport, Ohio. A Celebration of Life will be held in Greenwood, Indiana at a later date.
He will be greatly missed but as we know that this isn't goodbye but until we see you again.
