Monica Elizabeth Brennan, age 60, was taken home to be with the Lord at 3:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 27, 2021 in her home at 27400 Westchester Road, Freeport, Ohio.
She was born July 26, 1961 in Reading, Berks County, Pennsylvania to Teresa Brennan of Reading, PA and the late Gerald Brennan.
Monica was a 1979 graduate of Reading High School. She was a home health aide and the last three years, until she was forced to take sick leave, was a cake decorator at Walmart in Cambridge. She loved to work in the gardens, feed the chickens on the farm, and fish in Lake Erie. She is a member of the Higher Calling Church in Newcomerstown and lived a life of higher calling.
Surviving is her husband of fifteen years, Matthew Eric Blackburn. They were married August 16, 2006.
Also surviving in addition to her mother and husband is her daughter, Angie Ernesto of Pottstown, Pennsylvania and two brothers, Chris Brenan and Patrick Brenan both of Reading, PA.
Viewing will be held on Monday, August 2, from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. in Koch Funeral Home with a service beginning at 4:00 p.m. Keeping with Monica’s wishes, she will be cremated following the service.
Matthew would like donations made to Koch Funeral Home to help offset Monica’s final expenses.
