Pamella Lynn (Barylak) Coulson

Pamella Lynn Coulson, age 72, of Holloway died at 2:55 a.m. Wednesday, April 7, 2021 in Country Club Rehabilitation Campus, Dover, Ohio.

Born September 16, 1948 in Wheeling, West Virginia; she was a daughter of the late Helen Jean Patterson Barylak and Joseph John Barylak.

Pamella graduated from Flushing High School in 1966. She attended cosmetology school in Florida, and she was a board certified cosmetologist in Florida and Ohio.

She was a member of the Flushing United Methodist Church prior to transferring her membership to Holloway United Methodist after she got married. She liked to help out with the church fund raisers. She also enjoyed watching game shows, doing word search puzzles, and traveling with her son. She was a volunteer helping out with the Piedmont Fireman’s Fair, their deer hunter meals, and the Holloway Old Timers festival. Pam enjoyed spending time with her nieces and nephews.

Her husband, John Levi Coulson, died July 18, 2008. They were married August 7, 1971.

Surviving are a son, Bryan Coulson, of Holloway; two brothers: Mike (JoAnn) Barylak of Barnesville and Joe (Peggy) Barylak of Columbus; two sisters: Donna Bober of Ft. Myers, Florida and Christine Pantaleo of Rumney, New Hampshire.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters: Pattijo Barylak and Rebecca Sue (Shaun) LeGrice.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 13, 2021 in Greenmont Union Cemetery, Freeport with Pastor David Koch officiating. A viewing for family and friends will be held an hour prior to the service (12 to 1:00 p.m.) at the cemetery. Lawn chairs are welcome for those coming for viewing and staying for the service. An additional memorial service will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, Bryan is requesting donations be made to the Holloway United Methodist Church, PO Box 173, Holloway, OH 43985 or to Harrison Coal and Reclamation Historical Park (Make checks to: HCRHP), 143 South Main Street, Cadiz, OH 43907.

Koch Funeral Home, 216 S High Street, Freeport was entrusted with Pamella’s arrangements.
