Obituary

Vernon Ray Fauber, age 85 of 79305 Freeport Tippecanoe Road, Tippecanoe died at 4:54 a.m., Sunday, August 22, 2021 in Trinity Twin City Hospital Emergency Room, Dennison, Ohio.

Born August 14, 1936 in Neybob, West Virginia; a son of the late Charles Fauber and Emma Anna Koski Fauber.

Veteran of the Merchant Marine where he worked in shipping and receiving for ten years in Cleveland and Panama.

He retired from Production Expert Steele Company in Newburgh Heights after forty-five years as a crane operator and welder. He was a fleet mechanic for Yellow Cab Company in Cleveland for twenty-two years. He worked for Baker’s Foods in Guadalcanal, where he was a construction supervisor.

He was an all-around sportsman and liked fishing, hunting, and boating. He loved spending time with his family and grandkids.

His wife, Hilda Dorothy Hall Fauber, died May 12, 2016. They were married March 6, 1961.

Surviving are two sons, Vernon R. Fauber, Jr. and Owen K. Fauber; a daughter, Michelle D. McCarthy and her husband, William McCarthy, twin granddaughters, Uvernona R. McCarthy and her significant other, John Walton IV, and Yvonna F. Thompson and her husband, Jesse Thompson; and a brother, Floyd Fauber.

Also preceding him in death was a daughter, Treasea R. Fauber, his twin sister, Yovonne Fay Fox, another sister, Mildred Kuhel, and his older brother, Stanley Fauber.
