Obituary

Wayne NeMoyne Vanfossen II, age 76, of Holloway died peacefully at 8:00 p.m. Sunday, June 26, 2022 in his home.

He was born August 31, 1945; a son of the late Wayne NeMoyne Vanfossen and Pearl Elizabeth Fritter Vanfossen.

Wayne was a veteran of the United States Army, joining the army July 31, 1963 and was honorably discharged July 30, 1969.  He received his GED then went to work in the Morton Salt Mine in Fairport Harbor, Ohio where he worked for thirty plus years.

Surviving is his wife, Linda Joyce Williams Vanfossen. They were married November 13, 1972. Also surviving are a daughter, Angela Dawn Kellerhall of East Lake; three sons: Shawn Michael Atkins of East Lake, Gary Robert Vanfossen of Holloway, and Wayne NeMoyne Vanfossen III of East Lake; six grandchildren and several great-grandchildren; a sister, Dorothy Sue Lurty of Mentor; and a brother, Gary Vanfossen of Willoughly.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Thomas Vanfossen and two sisters: Marion and Betty.
