William Lee Strahl, age 74 of 73200 Shadylane, State Route 331, Flushing, Ohio 43977 died 8:58 a.m. May 31, 2021 in Moorefield Township where he had an apparent heart attack.
He was born October 11, 1946 in Wheeling, West Virginia, a son of the late William Lee Strahl, Sr. and Elizabeth Ann Mason Strahl.
He graduated from Flushing High School in 1964. He was a longtime member and President of the Holloway Old Timers Baseball Club.
Bill retired from the State of Ohio as a mine inspector in 1981. He was previously employed at various coal mines around the valley.
Bill was an animal lover and enjoyed feeding wildlife, especially deer and birds and he loved his dogs.
Surviving are two sons: Eric Jay Bartolo of Warwood and William Christopher (Heidi) Koscoe of Flushing; a half-sister, Abagail Bober of Avon Lake; two step-sisters, several cousins, and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by a sister, Lee Ann Robertson; and a half-brother, John Dickerson.
Graveside services and burial will be held in Rock Hill Cemetery, Flushing Township, Belmont County with Pastor Robert Merritt officiating at a 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 5, 2021.
